1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to cambio.ao ("Platform"), operated by Exponencial Lda. ("we", "our" or "Exponencial"), an Angolan technology company based in Luanda.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Exponencial Lda. regarding your use of the cambio.ao Platform.
By accessing, browsing or using cambio.ao, you expressly declare that:
You have read and understood these Terms in full
You agree to be bound by these Terms
You are of legal age (18 years or older) or have parental/guardian consent to use the Platform
You have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorized to use the Platform.
2. Nature of Service
cambio.ao is a digital information platform that:
Aggregates and presents exchange rates from Angolan commercial banks and the informal market
Provides currency conversion tools based on aggregated rates
Provides consolidated, summarized news about the business environment and economy of Angola
Offers analysis and visualizations of exchange rate data
Important:
- cambio.ao is NOT a financial institution
- We do NOT conduct financial transactions, currency operations or intermediation
- We do NOT provide financial, investment or legal advice
- The Platform is exclusively informational and educational in nature
3. Permitted Use
You may use cambio.ao to:
Consult information about exchange rates from various sources
Compare rates between different banks and markets
Use currency conversion calculators
Read consolidated, summarized news about economy and business in Angola
Access analysis and visualizations of historical exchange rate data
Use the services for lawful personal or business purposes
4. Usage Restrictions
When using the Platform, you agree NOT to:
Make financial decisions based solely on Platform information without consulting official sources or qualified professionals
Use the Platform for high-frequency trading or automated algorithmic trading operations
Perform scraping, data mining or automated data extraction from the Platform without prior written authorization
Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform
Upload viruses, malware or any malicious code
Deliberately overload the Platform's servers or infrastructure
Impersonate another person or entity
Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
Violate any applicable local, national or international laws
Infringe intellectual property rights of Exponencial or third parties
5. Intellectual Property
5.1. Ownership
All intellectual property rights related to cambio.ao, including but not limited to:
Text, graphics, logos, icons, images and illustrations
Software, source code, algorithms and system architecture
Compilation, organization and presentation of data
"cambio.ao" brand and visual identity
Are the exclusive property of Exponencial Lda. and are protected by Angola's intellectual property laws and international treaties.
5.2. License of Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to access and use the Platform for personal and non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms. This license does not permit:
Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of content
Modification or creation of derivative works
Commercial use without prior written authorization
6. Information Accuracy
6.1. Accuracy Efforts
We make best efforts to ensure that the information presented on cambio.ao is accurate, up-to-date and collected from reliable sources. However:
6.2. No Guarantees
We do NOT guarantee or represent that:
The exchange rates presented are always correct or up-to-date
The Platform will always be available or error-free
The information is complete or suitable for any specific purpose
Third-party data (banks, news sources) is always accurate
6.3. Duty to Verify
It is YOUR responsibility to verify all relevant information directly with official sources (banks, National Bank of Angola, etc.) before making any financial decision or conducting transactions.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1. Disclaimer of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Angolan law, Exponencial Lda. and its directors, employees, agents and service providers shall NOT be liable for:
Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages
Loss of profits, revenue, data or other intangible losses
Financial decisions made based on Platform information
Errors, inaccuracies or omissions in the information presented
Interruptions, delays or unavailability of the Platform
Unauthorized access or alteration of your transmission data
Content, actions or omissions of third parties on the Platform
7.2. "As Is" Service
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Exponencial Lda., its directors, employees, agents and service providers harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to:
Your use of the Platform
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Any breach of your representations and warranties set forth in these Terms
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
9.1. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Angola, without regard to conflicts of legal principles.
9.2. Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising out of these Terms or use of the Platform shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Luanda, Angola.
10. Dispute Resolution
10.1. Amicable Negotiation
In case of any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of these Terms, the parties undertake to first seek to resolve the matter through good faith negotiation for a period of 30 days.
10.2. Mediation
If negotiation does not resolve the dispute, the parties may agree to submit the matter to mediation before resorting to courts.
11. Changes to Terms
11.1. Right to Modify
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, at our sole discretion. Material changes will be notified through:
Prominent notice on the Platform
Email to registered users (when applicable)
Update of the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms
11.2. Acceptance of Changes
Continued use of the Platform after the publication of changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must immediately cease using the Platform.
12. General Provisions
12.1. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
12.2. Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
12.3. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
12.4. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Exponencial Lda. regarding use of the Platform.
12.5. Language
These Terms are drafted in Portuguese (Angola). In case of translation to other languages, the Portuguese version shall prevail in case of conflict.
