About the bank
Banco Nacional de Angola is the central bank of the Republic of Angola. Created in 1926 as Banco de Angola and carrying its present name since 1976, it is responsible for monetary policy, for issuing the Kwanza, for banking services to the State and for managing the country’s official reserves.
